Senior School Update

Term 3 is quickly disappearing as will the Yr 12 VET students at the end of the term!

Can all Senior School teachers please ensure that parents have received communication regarding all academic concerns. If a student is likely to not receive at least a C grade at the end of the year then parents need to be informed via a Letter of Concern. A follow up phone call or parent meeting is also recommended. Please speak to your PC if assistance is required.

Important Year 12 academic information has previously been provided to PCs that identify students at risk of not graduating. Your support in working with these students to ensure that they do graduate is appreciated.

The Year 10 counselling, course selection and certificate application process is now coming to an end. The next stage is confirming courses for 2023 and who may not be returning!

Teachers are reporting that there is a definite increase in phone use during class and breaks (in all cohorts). Can we all be reminded of the phone policy and remind students of the expectations. Please do not let students use earphones or phones at any time. Of course, if phone use is required for educational reasons, that is allowed, under teacher supervision. Increased vigilance would be appreciated. Letters of Concern should/can be sent home. Involve your PC if it is an ongoing issue.

The Country Week Assembly is happening during P3 on Tuesday 23 August in the gym.

There is also a final Year 12 Assembly on Friday 23 September. There will be a breakfast and the assembly will commence the beginning of P1. More information to come.

A busy month is coming for us all!
