Bonjour à tous, and Wanju

Well, Djilba is starting to show itself. Crisp cold mornings and at last we are starting to see some sunny days. I noticed that the flowers are starting to come out also.

Recently I have been reflecting on my performance as part of my performance management. Thank you to those people that have provided feedback. Feedback is a gift – and I appreciate the feedback I have received. It has given me the opportunity to really scrutinize my professional attributes as well as my professional practice. Like you and your performance management, I will create a plan to keep me focussed on improving my personal performance.

Bunbury Senior High School staff are such a professional community. At this point, both our Coffee Club and the newly established Teaching and Learning Committee are there to assist teachers, develop their knowledge and skill of teaching practice. Shout out to Mark Longbottom and Cathy Watson who have been driving these initiatives so far.

The Peer Observation Program is the vehicle by which we can put all our other teaching practices under the microscope. There are practical support mechanisms and financial resourcing available in the school to give you time to embed this practice into your work. I hope that you take these opportunities.

En Avant

Nuts and Bolts

Country Week is around the corner. Our ATAR students and VET students will be severely affected by the interruption at this time of the year.  I know that you have been adjusting teaching, learning and assessment schedules to minimise the impact on the students. On behalf of them and the parent community, thank you.  Please keep looking to support them as much as possible to maximise their ATAR or complete their certificate.
