Expression of Interest – Literacy and Numeracy Role 2022

We are seeking expressions of interest for the Literacy/Numeracy Coordinator (LNC) for 2022. This is a 0.2 FTE position and may be linked to a teaching position up to 0.8 FTE. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in making a difference to students. New staff are more than welcome to apply for this position.

The LNC must strategize the following roles:

  1. Deliver OLNA intervention of identified Yr12 (priority) and Yr11 students
    • Liaise with Senior School Manager to identify students (WACE Tracker)
    • Develop an intervention plan that includes timing, resources, and personnel
    • Coordinate personnel or provide instruction directly
  1. Delivery of intensive Literacy and/or Numeracy classes
    • Liaise with English/Mathematics PCs
  1. NAPLAN data
    • Analyse NAPLAN data at an individual and whole school level
    • Liaise with LA PCs to plan support and intervention
    • Individual student intervention program
  1. Take a lead role in the Whole School Numeracy Committee (to commence in 2022)
