Bonjour à tous, and Wanju

self - Copy.jpg
After an emotional day on Friday I hope that you all have found comfort with your family and friends across the weekend. I would like to remind you of the support available, both here at school and outside of school. Lauren is available through the day, please call her direct to make a time and place

Try to lean on the structure of our school day and the routines to normalise your daily activity. From the Healthy Mind Platter, our students wellbeing and progress gives us a purpose to focus on -  Focus Time.  Working in our learning area and with other colleagues allows us to connect with others and the school surroundings – Connecting Time.  A balance of these and the other mental activities can work well.

COVID news

The South West has the highest number of cases outside the Perth metropolitan area.  Our case load continues to tick along.  This week we have two staff out who have tested positive.  Please continue to look out for your own health and wellbeing.  Good hand hygiene and wearing a mask is a good form of defence.

Nuts and Bolts

Please note that I will be away during Week 10.  Greg Slavin will once again fill in while I am away.  Please make him feel welcome and assist where you can.

It is great to see that the Athletics Carnival will still go ahead albeit at a later date.  This is a better alternative to splitting the carnival into separate events and holding them without spectators.

Over the next two weeks we would really appreciate help with getting some jobs done. If you have plants in your room or office please water these today and every Friday, if you notice that your local photocopier needs paper can you please retrieve it yourself from admin, if there are handy man jobs that you notice please report them to Tonia, we will make list and get in a contractor when there is enough for a day’s work. If you notice anything else building up please contact Tonia.  Thank you for your assistance.

Finishing off a class.

These two habits do not reflect the standard at Bunbury Senior High School.

  1. Packing your students up early period 2, period 4 and period 5. These periods back on to a break and there should be no reason that lesson time is cut short to get out to a break.  I understand why you would do this period 1 and period 3.
  2. Allowing students to leave a class early.

Please make sure that you are supporting your colleagues and do not have these habits in your practice.
