Noongar Word of the Week (Kristy Carriage)
This week we celebrated our NAIDOC with our Official Assembly.
The theme this year is “Heal Country”
First and most importantly, a big thanks to staff who have helped organise everything. A special mention to Tina Nottle for her unwavering support. I think us newbies are doing ok so far!
We were so privileged to have our local elders and so many great Aboriginal professionals from our Local Noongar Community talk to us. I really hope, as staff members, we can continue to make these important connections to enhance our work with all our students.
Please see further information below about the Noongar Language classes being offered at ECU with Karen Jetta that she mentioned during her guest speech.
