Acknowledgements: 

  • Paul Reynolds, Pete Barrett and Craig Bourne – staff meeting presentation.

 Executive Update: 

Mike: 

  • The new building plans – final draft approved.  
  • Government pledged approx. $6 000 000 before election for STEM funding. Waiting to see if they will honour this pledge. 
  • New building designed by the same architect who designed the Cafeteria.  

Andrew: 

  • Reminder to HoLA's/PC's regarding the ½ page report is due. 

Kelly: 

  • Advised possibly 2 x Deputy Principal permanent positions will be advertised at Collie SHS. Kelly offered to help with applications for any aspirants wanting to apply. 

Kylie: 

  • Staff are reminded to respond to the Evacuation survey as soon as possible. 
  • HoLA's have been sent 2022 course offerings and were asked to give feedback to Kylie. 
  • SS Exam Timetable has been sent to HoLA's/PC's via teams. Feedback to Kylie asap please.

BYOD Audit

Kelly Anderson is seeking some support with conducting an audit of our BYOD. How many students in each year group have and bring a device? 

A short survey will be conducted in Week 9 with the following schedule: 

  • Year 7 – Maths 
  • Year 8 & 9 – HASS 
  • Year 10 – Science 
  • Year 11 & 12 – English.

Details: 

Tuesday 30 March 

  • 1.30pm - 5.30pm 
  • Kingia and Library 
  • Students will be at school for Pd1-3 only. 
  • Lunch will be provided to staff in the Cafeteria before interviews commence. 
  • Staff members will be given a 10 minute break. 
  • Adjusted timings for part time staff. 

Kelly will email information to staff. 

Academy for Enterprising Girls

Paul Reynolds presented a proposal for the school to participate in Academy for Enterprising Girls. Targeted at Year 10 students. Run over 2 days at school. 

Approved. 

Paul will advise which students will participate (will be up to 50 students).

No cost to school except relief.
