YEAR 10 COURSES FOR 2026

Thanks for everyone’s contributions towards each Learning Area proposed courses for Year 10 in 2026. There are many exciting courses with a breadth of opportunities for students to be engaged with.

We will be spending some time looking at the proposed courses for the second time at this week's Leadership Meeting, and then presenting the draft of proposed courses to the whole staff at the week 3 staff meeting.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak with your Line Manager or myself. The many discussions I have had with people have been insightful, and often important in shaping the process going forward.

PIVOT

We continue in our Sprint Phase for the next few weeks. This is the phase where teachers make a conscious effort to practice the agreed strategy or technique. Please check on your partner or a Learning Area colleague to see how they have progressed.

If you would like to learn more about the Teaching Sprints Model, see attached for a quick overview, or see me if you would like to read the book, which is only a short read.

(Please see link below for Teaching Sprints Model)

Updated Duty and Class Withdrawal Rosters

I have sent out new rosters for the start of Term 4. The English corridor is now closed to students and the duty teacher from this area will move out to the sunshine on the front lawn.

Please remove any printouts from previous terms you may have in your room. The withdrawal roster has changed quite a bit as I have removed the Year 12 classes.
