Survey My Class

Thanks to all who participated in the Survey My Class process. Individual teacher reports should have been sent to teachers last Friday. Please note that you were required to have more than 4 student responses to gain enough data to collate an individual teacher report.

As with all feedback, you have the final decision on whether to take it onboard or disregard it.

I am sure within the report there are some things to celebrate and give yourself a pat on the back, along with some areas to investigate further. Please don’t jump directly into trying to fix any areas of concern. Firstly, utilise the High-Quality Teaching Team, your PC, or a colleague to observe and give their own feedback. After this, any areas of concern can be strategically worked through with your Performance Management or through the support of the Bunbury SHS Coffee Club.

I understand the process has been different to previous years with the timing, however the Leadership Team did direct the process for this year, after missing the opportunity earlier in the year due to union directives. If you have any feedback around the process, please pass on to your PC.

Parent – Teacher Afternoon

A reminder Thursday Week 5 from 3:30-5:30 is our Semester 2 Parent Meetings. Rachel has sent out your log ins, parents have until Monday of Week 5 to make their bookings.

An afternoon tea will be provided in the staff room from 3pm.

More information will be sent out via email.

Relief Lessons

To ensure the best opportunity for quality lesson delivery, and the safety of our students it is important to leave detailed relief notes for our colleagues. Unfortunately, some of the relief notes I have been referred to recently are not of the standard we expect at Bunbury SHS.

Please support your colleagues by outlining the lesson activities, along with relevant student information that is critical for a teacher to know as they are walking into the class. See proforma attached.

All relief notes for the day should be entered into Compass before 8:30am, not at the last minute before the class.
