New Staff

Michael Oakford

I grew up in Tassie and completed my teaching degree there. After I graduated,  I taught a few years of relief on and off when I wasn't travelling. Moved to Perth in 2016 for the warmer weather (now I consider going back for the cooler weather), where I spent 6.5 years at John Forest Secondary College. I then moved to Bunbury and spent the last 1.5 years at Dalyellup College.

Outside of work I love anything that gets me outside and keeps me active. As I am still relatively new to Bunbury I enjoy exploring new spots, especially the coastline, in the South West of WA. When time and money allow I love to travel (photo included is from the Phillipines last month). Since moving to Bunbury I have taken up my most recent sporting hobby, pickleball. I am a Geelong Cats supporter, with Tom Hawkins at the top of my list of favourite players. 

I am excited to join the team at Bunbury SHS.
