High Quality Teaching Team
The High-Quality Teaching Team play an important role in the school to promote best practice, enhance student achievement in the classroom, and ensure our pedagogical approaches align with the Quality Teacher Framework.
If you are interested in joining this team, please chat with Cathy Watson.
Duty
We currently have a few problem areas with student behaviour at lunch times. Please see attached Yard Duty Responsibilities. If all teachers are consistent with their expectations and approach, the poor behaviour will quickly end.
A few problem areas include:
Library – No eating in the library, or the walkway to the library. Students should eat on the main school grounds before walking over to the library. Please ensure behaviour within the library is appropriate.
Cafeteria – Ensure students behaviour within the line, then also at the seating is appropriate for that area.
Front Lawn – This is a passive area. Students should remain seated on the front lawn or the top stairs of the Amphitheatre. Please also check the Kingia building for Lower School students.
Photo Catchup
Catch-up Photos will be held on Tuesday.
Staff who missed their opportunity to have their photo taken should head to the Green Room before school, or Lunch 1.
Students who missed their opportunity to have photos taken will be provided with a gold slip indicating when they should be sent down to the PAC by their class teacher. Teachers don’t need to take their classes down, just send the students with a gold slip to meet the teacher down at the Green Room.
Period 1 - Year 10-12
Period 2 - SHED & PBL photos
Period 3 - Year 7-9
Staff Attire
Just a quick reminder about the requirement to maintain business professional standard of work attire. While we value a comfortable work environment, staff need to maintain a professional appearance which contributes to important aspects of our school culture.
Staff can access our Professional Code of Conduct in the Staff Handbook, located in the School Policies folder on the shared drive.
Thanks!
