New staff Intro
Welcome to a new staff member this Term: Adam Morris
Hello everyone, thank you for the warm welcome. It has been a nice move to the region and joining your school. I have been teaching Science and some Maths full time since Term 2 this year at Thornlie SHS, after having worked there and at other schools/programs over a number of years as Special needs Education Assistant while completing my Masters. I am quite passionate about science, particularly Environmental Sciences and Biology. I have been involved heavily in STEM, cross-curricular learning, and other initiatives for a few years now and have developed a passion for engaging students to develop themselves as lifelong learners, while building the skills to support this. I enjoy finding ways to engage all learners positively and am excited to see what BSHS has to offer as we are in such an amazing position to draw on local spaces and connections.
Outside of work I try to keep up with a few hobbies, I like to grow my own food, check out local nature reserves, and when time and weather permits go diving. Being new to the region, I will be looking for some local activities to get involved in as my board game and other groups are at least a few hours away now, if you have any suggestions, they are very welcome.
