From the Principal
Bonjour à tous, and Wanju
On the weekend, I entered the world of VR to actively engage in a training program to drive a Komatsu road grader. It’s not a career change, it’s my son's latest work project. It was absolutely amazing. I didn’t want to leave the VR world.
Imagine being able to take your students to the Louvre, wander the Colosseum, march through the battlefields of the Somme or float through the circulatory system of the body at the change of each period. This is what is/will be available to our students when we access VR technology. Mathematics students can already be using CAD programs to understand geometry in a practical way. This is the world that our students are in or will enter soon.
We have a way to go before we are VR-ready and keeping up with tech advances is just another thing for us to do. If you have ideas for integration of new tech please get on the ICT committee or suggest technologies that you are interested in investigating for the ICT committee to plan some PL. The new world is coming and we are preparing the thinkers, leaders and workers of the future. It is an exciting time.
Thank you everyone for a great term. If you are heading off on a holiday I hope that it is adventurous, if you are spending some time wrapped in a blanket finishing off the latest instalment of House of the Dragon, I hope that it is enjoyable. Regardless of your plans, I hope that everyone takes time to put the mask on themselves, revitalise and stay safe. Have a great week and a wonderful holiday.

Nuts and Bolts
Please keep your eye on the calendar. There are a number of important events coming up as the Year 12s wrap up their time at school. The students love having their teachers share in the celebrations.
