Bonjour à tous, and Wanju

mike.jpg
I hope that you enjoyed a break, did some things that are good for your soul and avoided COVID. I know that the last was not true for everyone. I managed some time to walk the Cape to Cape. While beautiful and relaxing it is also personally challenging leaving you alone with your thoughts. At the time of writing this, I was not aware that I was “filling my bucket” as Tina mentioned this morning with probably about 6 out of 7 of the things I could do.

Thank you for your engagement in the School Development Day. You are not alone in wishing that we had more time like this to; talk with our colleagues; analyse data and prepare.

There are new management plans for this term around COVID restrictions as many of the restrictions start to fade away. The most significant is that Camps are back on the agenda and close contacts only refer to household contacts. Please see the link on IKON for the complete information. There are different links for different circumstances

Nuts and Bolts

We are nearly completely vaccinated, with only a small percentage of staff remaining to get and upload their third COVID booster. Although I have been sending out reminders, your booster upload to HRMIS is your responsibility. It has dire consequences; people are moved on to stop pay without a lot of leeway. Please get this done as soon as you have had your booster.

Manager Education Services (Kylie Ward)

Welcome back to our returning staff Melissa Spencer, Cherie Fielder and Geoff Kinter.

New staff member Maria Rooney will join our French Team.
